Covering up old work, from another artist

Okay guys!

Let’s talk COVER-UPS!

Sadly it isn’t always as easy as just adding pigment overtop of the old stuff! I want you to think of it this way...imagine you have a glass filled with water, and you try to add more water to the glass. What happens? The water overfills the glass and no new water is added. The exact same thing happens with pigment in the skin. IF your skin is still fully saturated with pigment there is no room for new pigment to go!

Other things to consider is the pigment color and how it has healed. Is it super grey, blue, or maybe orange? What pigments did the previous artist use? How are they going to mix with the pigments a new artist uses? Is there color correcting involved.
How is the shaping? Are the brows close to symmetrical? Will we have to perform a shape correction.

There are many things to consider when getting your brows redone by someone else, and honestly all the more reason to really do your homework in the first place before getting your brows done for the very first time.

So, please keep in mind that if you have an older tattoo this is why it is super important to send photos of your work to make sure you are at a point where we can successfully work over top of your existing brows!🥰

If you have questions about cover-ups or touch ups on existing clients please send me a message here and we can chat!!
